So we end up doing a limited run to meet that order, which takes at least 6 months maybe more. All the DU armor has to be taken off and we put tungsten in there. The tungsten isn't nearly as good btw.
Eurocucks in particular are sensitive about the environment and think DU is gross. Polish M1s have tungsten. The only way Ukraine gets Abrams anytime soon is if they agree to take the old American ones that have DU armor and have shot DU ammo and whatnot. We have like 300 of these tanks that other countries consider "contaminated." Let's see if Ukraine takes 'em. |
