Took paralegal Danny, Mohamed, and Brittney to Citrin last night, along with my wife and brother Matt. It is the sister restaurant to Melisse (2 Michelin Stars), and just received one Michelin star.
It wasn't quite as good as Melisse, but definitely was a great meal. The price wasn't insane at $149/person, but it also was only 3 courses plus a dessert. We added on the A5 Wagyu steak split as an appetizer, along with some of the other add-ons like Caviar.
As far as drinks, we only did mocktails because Mohamed has become a more observant Muslim lately and won't go out to eat if we drink alcohol (he is also looking for a second wife now - not flame and I'll post about that later).
Overall the meal was excellent and it was Paralegal Brittney's first time at a fancy restaurant (she was blown away by my generosity). I even covered everyone's valet charges. She couldn't believe it.
When the check came there was a 4% health charge on the bill for nearly $50. My wife let me know that it was "optional." So I asked them to remove it, and let them know their employer should be paying for health insurance (both the before and after bill is included). The waiter was speechless. I think I was the only guy he ever had ask to have it removed. Shows how beta most people are. I slipped the guy the $50 extra I saved at the end (on top of his tip) and told him he did a great job. He was blown away.
The extra charge did give me an idea though. I should add a separate 1% charge in my retainer for employee benefits and then take 34.33%. I could always shave down the doctors a hair more so the clients get the same, and no one will complain because people are so busy virtue signaling nowadays that they would feel embarrassed to even bring it up. Since we pulled 40-50 million in settlements last year that could bring in an extra 400-500K/year and I could buy everyone PPOs with zero out of pocket. Would be 180.

Absolutely 180, brother!
I really appreciate you turning the tables on people. That’s one of your most 180 qualities.
Just incredible.
Love you, brother!
