So I work on average until 5am. Have lots of time off. Considering taking a new job that would start at 4-4:30am with same time off. The new job would pay a bit higher and more opportunity to moonlight at higher rate. But I would try to do both jobs at the same time first year for fear that the 2nd job is not bait and switch. If it's not, is getting up at 4am actually better than going to bed at 5am?

I wonder if that's true though. I think they could agree to either 4am-12pm or 4:30-1:30pm. This group was bought out by the hospital but the hospital pays them nicely and wants critical coverage by eliminating outside contractors. So the position is not created yet and the salary would be provided by the hospital while the hours worked are negotiated with the group. I plan to travel to meet with the group in a month. The danger is that the hospital could renegotiate their contract after 1-2yrs once the job market cools down and then everyone in the group including me would have to either quit or take the salary cut down. That's why I would work both jobs for 1 year so if it doesn't work out at least I'll have more saved up
