No, Jesus didn't "lay down a lot of rules" in the way that Judaism does. He never required specific clothing, diet, and so on. They're not Created Beings they are always a Becoming. Salvation is centered around power, pride, prejudice, resentment, rivalry, revenge. They're allergic to (and violent toward) platonic reminders of who they are, so things like masculinity and heroic virtue are despised and suppressed.
