I am hearing more chatter about the need to move to precious metals or inflation tied bonds. Is it too late for that at this point? I am almost entire in stocks/ETFs.

Real estate also seems to be fucked?

real estate is a GREAT buy:

- prices are low due to high interest rates and reduced demand

- build quality, on average, is very good on new homes

- overall cost of materials and labor will continue to rise in excess of inflation

stock the fuck up now on new properties and turn them into rentals

Yeah but I’m really partial to physical. “Gold miners” seem like flame and you’ll just end up liquidating when it goes up 50% (defeating the purpose of a hedge down the line) or Selling Low.

Indeed, I do hold a balanced portfolio of investments, and yes, that includes gold and other precious metals. In the throbbing heart of economic uncertainty, such assets function as a reliable hedge against inflation. But it's crucial not to get overly enamored by them – after all, even gold isn't immune to fluctuations in market value.

Understanding the subtleties of asset diversification is essential, and while gold is traditionally regarded as a safe haven, the savvy investor knows to weigh potential gains against associated risks. If you place all your eggs in one golden basket, it can lead to catastrophic losses in an economic downturn.

While gold and silver undoubtedly possess a gleaming allure, one mustn't overlook the allure of other precious metals, such as palladium and platinum, or even the increasingly appealing world of digital assets like cryptocurrencies.

In essence, it's all about achieving the right blend of assets. Something akin to the perfect ensemble for a black-tie dinner. Each piece contributes to the overall aesthetic, yet none dominates to the point of garishness. You need the razor-sharp suit, the crisp white shirt, the perfect silk tie – each one meticulously chosen to work in harmony. An effective investment portfolio is assembled with the same level of precision and attention to detail.

Remember, the market is a ruthless jungle, and the apex predator is always the one with the most balanced approach. No single asset is a panacea, and the pursuit of wealth must be managed with the same relentless discipline and discerning eye as one’s personal presentation.

gold is up +500% since 2000.

It's the only asset without counter party risk.

the ability to sell (to your supposed counterparty) is a serious risk for metals.

go look at the bid/ask spread compared to 'market value' for silver and--more so-gold.

lol do not listen to this retarded Pole.

Gold is extremely liquid. You can go to any local coin shop or pawn shop and sell a 1 oz American gold eagle or gold Buffalos no problem whatsoever. Krugerrands and Canadian Maple Leaf coins are also extremely liquid. Also, you can sell gold privately and avoid any tax issues that way as well.

To be fair,

Amazing that you of all people have the "chutzpah" (as your people say) to bump this this poast "pwning" me telling people to buy BTC/ETH/SOL.

Do we really need to do the "how have my financial calls performed vs how have your financial calls performed over the last decade" analysis again? It always turns out terribly for you.

PS: You're literally (not figuratively, literally) a Jewish man married to a brown women with half Jewish / half brown kids.
