This is the biggest: In the beginning of the movie, Andy’s mom wants him to organize his shit into things he’s bringing to college, things for the attic, and trash.

Andy says what’s the rush, I’m not leaving until Friday and his mom said today is Trash Day.

The garbage truck came that day and picked up the trash.

The garbage truck came back again on Friday and picked up the trash again. The toys hitched a ride on the garbage truck which took them right back to Andy just as he was leaving for college on Friday.

Nope, even had the same garbage man who was a kid listening and air drumming to rock music through his headphones. The toys saw him at the dump, realized it was the same truck that came earlier in the week and hitched a ride on it.

it could have been a garbage man trainee, or a Hobby Garbage man, you know, a guy who picks up trash as a hobby. I mean, toys talk in this scenario, so I dont think Hobby Garbage man is that far out of line.

Sometimes routes change. It seems unlikely but hardly beyond the realm of possibility.

Ps, the garbage man is Sid, the deranged neighbor kid from ts1.

This plot hole could have easily been fixed by making the garbage truck at the end of the movie a recycling truck. This is what happens when you hire DEI writers.

Another: how Bonnie found Woody.

Bonnie's mom is looking for her at Sunnyside Daycare. She finds Bonnie inside, "There you are!"

Somehow, after finding Bonnie to take her home, her mom leaves her again and gets in the car without her.

Bonnie is walking alone outside Sunnyside when she finds Woody hanging from the tree.

You then hear Bonnie's mom call for her to come. Bonnie runs to her mom's car that is now waiting for her, she opens the back door, and here is the probably the biggest plot hole of any movie ever, SHE GETS IN THE BACK WITHOUT A CAR SEAT AND HER MOM DRIVES OFF!

WTF is Disney trying to do here?

Another: Mrs. Potato Head lost an eye in the beginning of the movie while at Andy's house. She couldn't find it, didn't even try to look for it.

Then, at the end of the movie, she was able to magically see through the missing eye and see that Andy hadn't left for college yet. She saw him packing and told the other toys they could still make it back home before Andy left for college.

Then, back home, she was able to find her eye.

It was under the bed, right?

Well, if it was too cluttered, then she wouldn't have enough light to discern the location.

As Andy was grabbing belongings and throwing away junk, the decluttered space allowed sufficient light to pass through.

moms are henpecking birdbrains who use whatever justification bubbles up to the top of their head as an excuse for pushing their preferred outcome regardless of rationality. if anything it’s an indication of the writers’ astute observation of the human condition, not to mention based af.

Another: there is no way Mr. Potato Head could have walked around as a tortilla. How did the toys know there was a tortilla in the backpack and how long was it in there? If the toys knew about it, it was probably there a while and was stale and would have fallen apart.

How did Mr. Potato head know he could push out the little piece of wood in the sandbox in order to get his pieces to the tortilla?

It was pitch black in the sandbox and its not plausible he discovered this little removable piece of wood the first time he was put in the box. If he did, he likely would have pushed it out and one of the other toys would have discovered it.

I guess we are to believe that someone just put that piece of wood back in the sandbox? This makes no sense.

Rewatching the final scenes and seeing for the first time this parallel:

Andy’s mom walks into his room as he’s finishing packing for college and she realizes her baby boy is becoming a man and she’s letting him go.

Andy does the same thing with his toys as he drives off after leaving them with Bonnie.

And the placement of the classical music’s climax as Andy drives off and the toys slowly rise to watch is a tear jerking moment only Disney, as much as I hate them, could pull off—for a cartoon.

This one is big:

The Pizza Planet toys would not have had the requisite experience in order to pilot the crane at the end of the movie, and they never would have spotted the toys in the middle of all that garbage. I could go on and on about this. This is probably the biggest plot hole now that I think about it.
