if wives grieved husbands for more than 60 seconds the human race would never have survived
only men (and dogs and horses) grieve

Her “grief” would be 1) concern for our kids and how it would impact them, because they actually love me, 2) using any trigger to submerge herself in self-pity, however banal, like running into a couple shopping together at the mall that makes her think of a time we shopped at the mall, 3) frustration not just because she had an expectation that she could extract more resources out of me, but because I also do a shitton of stuff that she doesn’t want to do like I handle the finances and cook a lot and deal with all the landscaping, home repair, car maintenance, etc. But I assume her response to these feelings would be to secure another beta male provider, and given that she stayed thin and has great tits and youthful skin I expect she would be able to make that happen.

as in all things, a woman's reality is her emotions.
when a man dies a woman will experience profound, immediate, heart wrenching grief. she will keel over and wail. she will be inconsolable. this will last until she intuits that it's better to move on, either because she is no longer being treated special by the community, or when she desires more resources.
men will grieve forever. but they can stoically hear the news and suppress their emotions until it's appropriate to grieve quietly. and they can move on, but they will always have an ache in their heart.
a woman, on the other hand, might remember fondly how nice *she felt* being loved by him and provided for. but she'll be missing how his actions made her *feel*, not *him*.

I had a great uncle that died early on in WW2. He left a pregnant widow. They had married shortly before he was drafted. She never moved out of her mother's house. She died about 15 years ago. At her funeral her daughter (their only child) put the letters he had sent while deployed into the casket.
She died happy and was always pleasant to be around.
