A funny thing to remember from teenage years was how certain drinks seemed to perfectly and poetically suit the person in question, and I never questioned it at the time, nor do I now.
One girl, we always drank Smirnoff Ice because she periodically skimmed a few from her parents’ inventory to keep lukewarm in the closet, and we didn’t need many to enjoy ourselves anyway;
one it was always white wine because her mom was an Australian MILF, so that made sense somehow even though I’m gay and don’t really know how or why;
one was always gin and tonic because her parents are rich lawyers who gave her a wing of the house to herself, etc. πΎπΎπΎ

Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’
nor any scorching heat.
For the retriever at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

>tfw when you sincerely can’t wait to host your first dinner party together, one of infinite chapters in the Storybook of the Eternal Redwall Victory Banquet…
As Kreeft says, our heart’s two deepest longings - home and adventure - are destined to be perfectly fulfilled beyond this Earthly womb, and more…
