GTA3 was a lot more enjoyable despite not enjoying some of the gameplay improvements from Vice City. VC felt small and lacked the map variety of GTA3. It also doesn't have Chatterbox.
Both of these games, despite having some semblances to modern day open world chore simulators (trailing missions, fetch quests), never feel dull or repetitive. They still feel as unique and enjoyable as did 20 years ago. |

I was filtered by a car race that begins on top of a mountain. If you fail the race, you have to spend 10 minutes climbing all the way back up the mountain. It was a required story mission IIRC. |
