Stuck a backside 5050 on the miniramp and landed a clean frontside air on the quarterpipe on my lunch break a few days ago. Forgot how good of a workout skating can be.
Yeah, some people look at me weird when i have my board or am skating around town but who the fuck cares. The ground also hurts a lot more now but whatever. I'm walking / hiking at least 20k steps a day near a river and forest w/ my hound.
I'm also in the final rounds of becoming chair of the board of a major sports governing body - would work with the Olympics etc...
couldn't really do it this way if I were back in the US. |

Meanwhile I watch my euro colleagues take their 7 weeks of vacation a year and be totally unresponsive for 2-3 week stretches at a time without a care in the world. I get 7 weeks of vacation too but I think I’ve been irreparably damaged because I have a hard time taking any time off.
