. The thought invaded his brainspace for a glancing second. He began the method of control. Hairline. Pubic. Dark Age. Edit. Would he let these unraveling thoughts affect the mission? The years of training in smoothly marbled hallways overseen by grim men with unmoving visages concealing multi-decade devotion to deadly arts put aside? He recalled his first tutor, the one his father trusted above all else, repeated exercises in the eighth floor spherus whose windows opened to let in the salty air of the ocean which surrounded the cragrock promontory upon which their family compound ancient and mossthick was set. Return to reality. He was on Southern Bird Island, 1,000 miles from the original signal source in Tokyo. Five associates accompanied him. They were here for a reason. "Regulate your breathing." He was ten years old, Rorshank Pose, holding the dual-sided blade in one hand, the other C-cupped, signifying balance. "The enemy will approach from the unknown!" Above him. How had he moved so quickly across the curved expanse of the room? No time. Redirect the attack. Feint and dodge. Absorb the blow. Rolling now, Kiteria Defense, springing to his feet, feeling alive. "There's nothing here; it's birdshit and seashells." Present day; his senior associate. "There's always something if we know where to look." The sun high overhead, the soft insanity of an ocean all around them bowled into endless horizons in three hundred and sixty degrees. "Let's move north."

I don't really like the law and my experiences with it have led me to believe that the same people upholding it and who profit from it are the ones who will attack you for wandering off from it in a sort of catch 22 apparatus of control
If the law had a face atm it'd be Woundwort from Watership Down
This isn't to say a hypothetically good law couldn't be made and instituted. But it would certainly not resemble much of what's presently instituted, and the actual practice of law would shrink down to a thimble of the ocean of fraud that it is today
So no. Not this law in any case
