My biological maternal grandpa died when I was pretty young and lived far away. I have fond memories of him even if the time we spent together was limited.

Now my maternal step grandfather was an Italian goy and one of the best and most interesting people I've ever known. I didn't even piece it together that we weren't really related until I got older. He'd take me fishing and to the movies etc. really fantastic person who I was lucky to know.
