here's what worked for me. used to have shitty luck/skills with girls. then i started to treat them like dogs. I DO NOT MEAN POORLY. i know the colloquial use of "treat like a dog" means "treat shitty", but literally treat them like an animal. communicate more with body language, posture, etc. than with words. this involves many subtleties. if you have dogs and you're good at training them you will pick on quicker. it involves literally dominating them with your commanding presence.

no don't be stupid. if you want a dog to sit down or lie down you tower over it in a menacing way. make it know that you're bigger and you make eye contact. subtly threaten it like that it will capitulate and show its belly in a sign of submission. same for women. make sure you exert yourself in a way that your normally always towering over them in an aggressive way
try to avoid situations where you are literally beneath them, and never break eye contact first

its natural. humans are social animals not at all unlike dogs. in fact, there's a reason why dogs are man's best friend. we communicate very similarly.
women naturally are submissive to males in the relationship. that doesn't mean a man should control everything the woman does. but a woman does want a man that takes control. this isn't a sexist statement, but it is realistic regarding a normal healthy male-female relationship.

its effective for all human relationships where you want to establish authority and a commanding presence. body communication is much more important for social communication than language is, which is really just a means of communicating information and not subtle emotional cues.
that is we use language to say where food is, to say where water is, to say where enemies are, but we use body language to say who is chief, who is bottom of the totem pole, who is happy, who is relaxed, who is mad etc
think of how many times you first realized someone was happy or mad because they said, "I am happy." or "I am mad." it just doesn't happen that way.

no i didn't just discover this. but i did have horrible luck with girls til i learned to start communicating more with body language. i was explaining that body language is an important part of basic social interaction, and if it is not be fully utilized in dating then you are making things harder than they need to be.

Fine, I'll bite. Outside of eye contact and being controlling (tell her where you're going rather than ask her where she wants to), what do you reccomend?
Date: October 19th, 2009 9:40 PM Author: overrated forum
no see telling her where you're going is normal language and not body communication.
for starters, here are some basics. you know how dogs lick your face? they do it as a sign of submission. kissing is a sign of submission. i'm not saying don't do it ever, but take this into account: when kissing try to place more emphasis on her neck. playfully biting the neck is a sign of dominance in dogs. they bite the neck to show that they can rip the throat open if they want to, but they aren't going to. so when kissing lick, lightly bite, and suck the neck.

wtf this is extremely credited advice.
smiling is good, because it is a sign of relaxation and that a dog is comfortable. dogs smile when they are confidant in their surroundings and have no insecurity of being attacked.
if you smile you are displaying a dominance by establishing that you are not intimated by her or potential threats. you must show teeth however.

several of the images in that google result are obvious photoshops. many are not, and i think you will easily recognize the non-photoshopped smiles. but here is a good one.

No, I mean that they LOOK like they're smiling, but it's just because due to adaptive evolution, they're face structures make them look like they're smiling when they open their mouths.

this is all a load of shit. i interact with people like this all the time, who have bought into this idea that you can make a study of how to communicate "confidence" and project "dominance," etc. they can't seem to tell the difference between someone who is intimidated by them and someone who is just fucking embarrassed for them that they are carrying on that way.

embarrassed = un-confidant/submissive HTH
you can dominate someone in multiple ways and at varying levels. you can obviously dominate someone until they begin to cry, until they become visibly embarrassed/upset, or you can dominate just to the point where they accept your authority etc.

why the hate dooder? why are you resorting to ad hominem and not discussing the validity of my hypothesis? i think i've given some pretty credited examples/statements above.

The thing that gets me about this is not everyone is capable of intimidation. A rail thin dude who has never set foot in the gym will not dominate me with body language. Ever. An unattractive guy will not dominate an attractive woman, no matter what he does. I can see this working when the dominant party is capable of domination...but that is sort of a no-brainer.

yes granted it is only one tool. as i believe i said above. non-verbal communication is an integral part of human relationships. if you aren't expressing yourself fully you're failing to utilize a powerful tool, but it is of course only a tool -- and one among many at that.
this is more advice for those who are able to land those first dates or can get a girl interested for a bit, but ultimately repel them
Date: October 19th, 2009 10:21 PM Author: Cobalt indian lodge
this is right. it only ends up looking comical, and the more physically impressive person has the option of stoically allowing the other guy to reveal himself for the fraud that he is.
Date: October 19th, 2009 10:23 PM Author: overrated forum
clearly if a guy who wants to utilize this advice has a body-frame that is comically thin/weak, then nothing will help him short of bulking up a bit and looking like a man. after that though, body-language conveys more in a relationship with a woman than normal language. if you're saying perfectly fine things but are using submissive, weak body-language then you will get shut down.

I wouldn't say you have to dominate them or anything. But physical contact is credited. Put your hand on the small of her back when you want to lead her somewhere, brush her arm when you leave her for a second, start a date with a hug.
