I think professional basketball players, especially a savant like Luka, are uniquely positioned to determine the intent behind different types of passes. The job description requires that one be able to judge distance and speed and make the right type of pass at the right time. I wouldn't side with the ref but the fact that Luka also thought the pass had unnecessary aggression is probably a good indication that it did. And once that determination is made what else is there to do besides kick the fan out of the game?
They made a scene and they weren't about to let a fan get away with it. It sucks and I feel bad for the guy but he threw a pretty autistic pass in that moment. |
