Maybe the cute Jewish girls moved to Match.com, leaving behind only the hardcore Jewish girls who won't eat shrimp, cheeseburgers, or anything else that tastes good (what a sad life that would be to be married to some kosher freak).

sure, why limit yourself to a dating site profile? myspace profiles showcase much more of what a person is like with blogs, and what friends postings, etc. also, there isn't the same kind of stigma attached to dating sites with myspace. dating sites have more of a blind date type of atmosphere and myspace is more of a houseparty/bar room if that makes any sense.

the big change is because of the pricing policies. it used to be free to receive emails; you only had to pay to send them. then, at some point in the last few years they required payment to receive contact from other people. the population changed significantly at that point - i wouldn't doubt that many just go through facebook/myspace and match now.
fwiw, i met my wife on jdate, almost six years ago.

not anymore. it was odd at first (more for her, i didn't care), because not many people did online dating in 2001. but nowadays, nearly everyone has tried, or has friends who do it. in fact, i'd say the most common response now is "oh, my friend met her fiance/husband on jdate too!"

i was the first guy from the site she went out with. she actually wrote to me first - she was tired of getting emails from 30-something guys who were looking for a mother for their children (she was 22 and a first grade teacher at the time). so she paid for one month, wrote to three guys, and i was the first to respond...
as for your post, i was never really into israeli women. i spent time there in college, and while they're HOT, they're more bitchy than american women. not as bad as the russian-americans, though. i dated a few, and it was always annoying. obviously, i love my wife. can she nag? sure, but that's a female thing, not a jewish thing.
