Brosnan looked the part but wasn't misogynistic enough to evoke Bond. Connery will always be thee Bond. Couldnt care less which actor the majority of people in present day think of when they think of Bond, and that shouldnt be the metric for best Bond

I disagree with your opinion that walking around with a scowl + keeping women in line = James Bond.
James Bond is supposed to be a very suave spy. What is the #1 characteristic of a spy? Blending in and not getting detected. So image is EVERYTHING = looking the part. Not walking around like a tough guy. That is why Brosnan is by far the best Bond.
Also, I think Bond's calling card is to sleep with many women, not necessarily keep them in line. Brosnan isn't a cuck bitch, so that's all that matters.

You have a point in the sense that the producers saw it that way - Dalton was their second choice; after his films flopped basically, they just waited for Brosnan to be available.

Oh of course. Moore's run veered way too far into goofiness, really lost what the spirit of the character should be. Also he was like a hundred and three years old by View to a Kill

If you look at the movies with a critical eye, like some sort of lib who hates white males over 6`00``, then it's mostly all dogshit except for the comedic moments like Oddjob and maybe Jaws.

They really aren't bad if you watch them instead of read posts, but GE was the culmination of like 7 years of pre-production, the producers SALIVATING over their golden boy, Brosnan, giving them a cool af script with the Russians and the tank and the heloicoper and 006 and Famke and Boris and Natalia and Ourumov. This is why lawman kind of has a point, but it's a self-fulfilling prohecy, like, "let's give Dalton a script where Felix gets eaten by a shark, while we wait for Brosnan!"
If you think about it, Bond can do dramatic shit when there are Russians involved like in From Russia with Love or Goldeneye, but otherwise he's at his best when it's basically a comedy, like Goldfinger, or when Brosnan/Moore are doing shit with gadgets, or getting laid.

In this clip, filmed with a french potato, we still can see why Brosnan is far superior.
He took on his adversary like a real man, and was far more skilled with his sword. In this clip, Connery does his tough guy routine initially, but only engages in 2 sec max of swordplay at a time.
