Why don't you go by ACTUAL VERIFIABLE DATA and see how you feel?
oh oh I know - because you are a TTT Mich/ NU/ Duke/ GULC scrub and have to fight to protect the fake T14 distinction to protect your ego. Oh, and you're pathetic and refuse to live IRW. hth
"Stupid, Skadden's School Search Website Yeilds UNDERGRAD results too:
Of your 9 "UCLA" Skadden people in NYC:
Tiffany Tran Boydell - UCLA UNDERGRAD, NYU LAW
Lisa M. Giroux - UCLA UNDERGRAD, HARVARD LAW
Jennifer T. Li-Hochberg - UCLA UNDERGRAD, NORTHWESTERN LAW
Julia J. Peck - UCLA UNDERGRAD, YALE LAW
And if you look at (Partner) David Eisman's bio page, it's clear that he's more of a Los Angeles partner than an NYC partner. His bar membership is CA-based and most of his cited cases are CA-based.
Even correcting according to the retard, UCLA has 4 in NYC Skadden. NU has 3. 3/4 UCLA persons are PARTNERS. NU partners - 0.
The overriding point is that NU is *not* prestigious. That's the point.
NOTE:
- Speculation that 1 NYC partner is not "really" a NYC partner is just absurd. Transfer, perhaps. Doing NYC as second fiddle, HIGHLYIMPROBABLE.
- To those of you talking out of BOTH SIDES of your mouth - School A is not prestigious b/c of low skadden placement; Only unprestigious fucktards go to Skadden -- you're just dumb. hth
why do you guys hate on Skadden, I don't understand? Is skadden a place anyone could get hired from? Don't you still have to be top 15% of the class at a t14 school?

you have to be a gorilla to live in the gorilla pit. most people aren't. therefore prestigious?
it has a reputation for being a sweatshop filled with unusually horrible personalities and unusually disgruntled attorneys. it is highly leveraged and makes most of its partners from laterals. people who have worked there largely hate it. this is all anecdotal, but it has passed the rigorous peer-review system of xoxo.

They are notoriously underselective in their hiring despite the imaginary grade cutoffs that they give the schools. They hire all the tranfers, any top 10% student with a pulse and anyone from H or Y, where I understand they have a very difficult time recruiting. Its sort of the GULC of Biglaw
