I'm just going to say it, I like that biglaw doesn't have a lot of black people Deleting my account after posting this but I love that biglaw doesn't have a lot of black people. Why? Because I deal with them in the city, every day. If they're not physically attacking you, they're verbally abusing you and making life difficult for everyone. I wasn't racist until I moved to New York City but having lived here for 8 years, I am now, and I'm fully justified. Biglaw is my sanctuary away from that. I'll take verbal abuse from a partner any day over some unemployed bum trying to goad me into a fight as I wait for the subway.
I hope the mods won't delete this, though they probably will, but I'm just being honest and expressing a deep frustration I have with this city. Amy Wax is right. |
