Graham Stuart Staines (18 January 1941 – 23 January 1999) was an Australian Christian missionary who, along with his two sons, Philip (aged 10) and Timothy (aged 6), were killed by being burnt to death in India by members of the Bajrang Dal, a Hindutva organisation.[1] In 2003, Bajrang Dal member Dara Singh was convicted of leading the murderers and was sentenced to life in prison.[2]
Murder
On 22 January 1999, Staines attended a jungle camp in Manoharpur, which was an annual gathering for Christians in the area to congregate for a conference and discuss their beliefs in a social setting. The camp was on the border between the tribal villages of Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar. He was travelling to Kendujhar with his sons, who were on a break from their schooling in Ooty, a hill station in Tamil Nadu. At a point, they decided to take a break from the journey towards the jungle camp, and elected to spend the night in Manoharpur, sleeping in the vehicle due to the severe cold at the time. His wife and daughter did not accompany them on the journey, having decided to remain behind in the town and municipality of Baripada.
A mob of about fifty people, armed with axes and other implements, attacked the vehicle while Staines and his sons were fast asleep, and set the station wagon alight, trapping them inside and burning them to death.[15] Current BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi was also believed to be a part of this murder as he was Orissa State Unit Chief of the Bajrang Dal during this planned murder.
Staines and his sons had awakened and apparently tried to escape but were prevented from doing so by the angry mob of vigilantes.[16]
I mean Indians probably had other diseases he could treat, but he only treated leprosy - this rare disease no one has anymore - because it was mentioned in the Bible.
I'm very very familiar with how the different denominations do business in these places. Some Christians who got into Cambodia really early, like 1993-ish, were telling the locals that AIDS was a myth and never use contraception. They told me all about it too when we were on the bus
They were considered off limits in Cambodia. If they were criminals, you could beat them up but you couldn't kill them. Killing a birdshit was bad for tourism and the killer would be instantly marked for death.

dats funny cause just saw a poast today abt the raffles hotel in phnom penh and during civil war birdshit journalists stayed theere and the hotel staff begged them not to go out but they did and no one ever saw them again ljl
the war was different. There's never been another fighting force like the Khmer Rouge that's been documented so well. They were uniquely violent. They would kill all the residents of a town, mutilate the corpses and hang up the body parts or stack them in creative ways. They would literally decorate the walls with blood. The Vietnamese had never seen anything like it and tried to cover it up initially

ljl genghis did that, everyone in history did, funny u mention viets cause when they marched south they did that shit to khmer and champa, they were brutal rapists
no one has photos of the Mongols. The Vietnamese documented all this shit at the time. However it was only shared with other Soviet allies, never broadcast internationally. That's why you never saw these pics. Vietnam actually self-censored - they gave footage to Hungary, then asked Hungary to destroy the footage

this was all ethnic genocide. You could erase all traces of culture from Cambodians while still exploiting their eyhnic hatred of the Vietnamese. Pol Pot had to find Vietnamese civilians for his men to kill or they would get upset, like they weren't getting laid. If there was a village on the border with Vietnam, Khmer Rouge would compete to get on the pickup trucks going to that village, and Pol Pot would have to make sure the green troops got at least one opportunity to kill some Vietnamese. That's why they ended killing to many Vietnamese people, and why Vietnam had to eventually step in and make it stop. These Cambodians were doing whole villages, all ages, whole families
these people are always weird and never fit in. They really only thrive in conflict zones where prior cultural memories have been erased among the youth. If the village already has a strong religious community these people are really offensive and asking for trouble
