Date: October 8th, 2008 4:27 AM Author: jade ladyboy Ok, so I've never been one for doing well in school. I barely scraped the median at a public high school and was well below it at an ivy. My LSAT wasn't all that high either, but by some stroke of luck, I ended up at MVP.
And I'm getting my ass kicked.
I've never read much for class, nor even really go to class ever. So my study habit is pretty shit.
But I'm reading stuff now, and it just takes me forever. Literally. I've got a book in front of me 10-12 hours a day just to struggle through reading daily assignments. Not even hornbooks or outlines or anything. I feel like a total nigger.
But more than that, I'm not even understanding what I'm reading. Maybe understand like 20%. And I retain maybe like 20% of that.
How fucked am I?
Are there some people out there who don't even go to classes and don't even do any reading? Or is everyone pretty much on top of it and I should just kill self?
Despite my craptaculastic grades throughout my life, I've never been this afraid of C-ing it up. Especially 1L year, man. I feel like I'm about to get my ass raped.
Where does everyone stand? Without humble pie exaggerations. I really am afraid of finishing dead bottom. |

Read them, especially focusing on the parts that you missed. Start going to class. Read high courts, don't read the actual cases (you don't have time for that). Find a good hornbook for your class. 2 are a good idea in case you don't understand certain sections of one. E&E is great for civ pro. Its not great for con law. hornbooks are generic terms that refer to shit like E&E. Are you a fucking 1L or something? |
